BIOPROX is a French family-owned company specializing in the production and commercialization of freeze-dried lactic ferments, dedicated to fostering a more transparent, sustainable, and high-quality agri-food industry.

Thanks to our expertise, we have selected the best lactic ferments. Their acidifying, texturizing, aromatic, or bioprotective properties allow us to offer several quality ranges for the well-being of current and future generations.

Our lactic ferments are intended for your dairy products: yogurts, fermented milk, cheeses, butter, etc. We are expanding our range by manufacturing ferments for vegan products, such as dairy alternatives. Additionally, we offer a subcontracting service for the production of microorganisms for the dairy and agri-food industry.

The Noyant site began its history in the 1970s when the Rabion dairy in Noyant was acquired by Bioprox and transformed into a true industry.

Bioprox then produced culture media for the dairy industry and savory flavors, before significantly expanding in the 1980s with large-scale industrial fermentation.

To meet market evolution, the company has constantly grown and modernized over the years, becoming a recognized player in the production of lactic ferments.

Bioprox Cultures has since positioned itself as a key player in the agri-food market.In 2004, the leader of the French industrial group Proxis Développement, Arnaud Moor, integrated Bioprox into his family holding, making it the biotechnology sector alongside three other industries (Aquaprox, Sozio, and Icrom).

A true industrial and research and development hub specializing in microbiology, the company relies on recognized scientific expertise in biotechnology thanks to a solid team of engineers and researchers.From the 2010s, Bioprox's expertise in fermentation extended to 2 other activities working with good bacteria: Bioprox Healthcare in 2011 for probiotics and Cybèle Agrocare in 2016 for agricultural biofertilizers.
